Global Debate: U.S. drafts Resolution for Vibranium Use Outside Wakanda!

With the high-stakes committee in session, the US drafts a resolution for the regulated use of vibranium outside Wakanda, strongly emphasising humanitarian aid. As the resolution attempts to respect Wakandan sovereignty, will it be able to pass despite the nation’s stubbornness? Will the international community be able to successfully cooperate with Wakanda?
The session, which will address the use of vibranium outside of Wakanda, has begun in the United Nations, and the US has led the crafting of a resolution that might cater to the wishes of all nations. Vibranium, the highly coveted metal that has brought breakthroughs in medicine, sturdy infrastructure, and threatening weaponry, is currently only found in Wakanda, and the nation has made it clear that they have no intentions of sharing it with the rest of the international community. The discussions between the nations have officially started, and the possibility that the US might convince the present countries to allow for the circulation of the metal grows with each speech.

The US has proposed a very promising resolution. The diplomatic nation has thoroughly acknowledged the potential vibranium has in humanitarian purposes; policies such as the designation of the resource solely towards shelter, and medical equipment and its overall implementation into humanitarian aid make up the main clauses of the American proposal.

The resolution also addresses any security concerns by Wakanda, ensuring that the metal will only be used for good by employing a trusted Wakandan official to oversee the use of vibranium in any operations. Through these clauses being put forward, the US claims that it only wants to “acquire Wakanda’s trust”. The possible relations that could spark between Wakanda and the United States could give birth to a new era of innovation and advancements: the US is known as the home country of various innovators and scientists, and Wakanda, the newfound pioneer in technology, could truly bring to the whole world prosperity.

Central to the whole resolution is the policy of education about vibranium. After being hidden for thousands of years, the Wakandan emergence into the public brought a negative image to the nation. Wakanda has been attributed to violence, as well as vibranium. The powerful weapons used for the nation’s security have made Wakanda be perceived by the public as hostile. The need for the general public to be educated on the overwhelmingly positive attributes vibranium carries has been successfully addressed in the US’s proposal. The defenders of this resolution argue that promoting the acquisition of knowledge and innovation will foster positive collaboration with the nation of Wakanda.

However, the delegation that Wakanda has put forward to represent its interests has made some controversial remarks in the debate. The Wakandans' participating in this conference are Shuri, the crown princess, and Ramonda, the queen. During the discussion, Riri Williams concludes that she desires to be returned to her native country of the US; however, Shuri states that “why would [she] ever want to leave Wakanda? It is the most technologically advanced country in the world”. The representatives of Wakanda have continued to demonstrate contempt for other nations, claiming that they are the only ones “capable of handling vibranium”. Wakandan behavior has sparked doubts on whether the country is ready to cooperate, or if maybe the rifts between international interests will widen.

As tension rises in the security council, one can only hope that the most peaceful solution will be put in place. The US hopes to address the interests of all in its proposal, but will that be enough to satisfy Wakanda? If push comes to shove, will the US be ready to wage war with the nation? Fox News will continue to observe and report the discussions diligently.
