Committee Description:
​The committee examines the ethical, political, and humanitarian issues raised by the world of The Hunger Games, treating the circumstances of Panem as a socio-political case study rather than a fictional narrative. Delegates will analyse the moral legitimacy of state-sanctioned violence, systemic inequality between districts, the use of fear as a tool of governance, and the exploitation of children for political spectacle. The committee will also consider questions surrounding autonomy, coercion, propaganda, and the ethics of resistance movements within oppressed societies.
